Pre Sale Price Check - Burberry Suit

I acquired a beautiful burberry suit tonight which I will be posting up for sale over the weekend when I get a chance to measure and take pictures of it. I am however clueless as to what to sell it for, I hoped to get some feedback on a price before I posted it.

Its a 100% wool, 2 button, dark grey/charcoal suit. I think it was MTM as it has a customer name on the tag in the interior pocket. This suit is mint, and if it wasnt too long, I would be at the gym right now trying to lose the weight to be able to fit into it.

I saw nordstroms had burberry suits that looked similar @ 900, so what do you think a good price would be?

I may be mistaken, but I believe Burberry suits are similar in quality to Hickey Freeman. Assuming the suit is new with tags and fully canvassed, I would recommend starting off around 400. If it is solid charcoal, maybe more.

no tags, but this is cherry. It doesnt even feel as if its made it to the cleaners.

Remind me how I tell if its fully canvassed?

Its a solid color.

Not really. Burberry suits sold in the States are indeed made by Hickey Freeman, but to Hickey Ltd. standards (fused and machine made).

Sorry to tell the OP this, but Burberry suits/jackets don't fetch much money here. They tend to do a bit better on eBay, but not by much.

Thanks - thats what I was asking. Is there anything descriptive on the suit I should be looking for to tell me who made it?

not sure of any labeling per say but I would go with whacked as he's pretty knowledgeable. I also have to agree with whacked that you won't get much for a burberry suit here as the quality is just poor at best it may do a little better on ebay just because of label whores bidding on it but burberry is kinda a dime a dozen now. plus burberry suits are pretty easy to pick up cheap I can go out to at least 3 stores in my area pretty much any time and pick one up for like $300-400 new or pick up like 10 of em at various thrift stores I frequent for like $12 each. I think you'd be better off hitting ebay with it unless for some wierd reason its spectacular. just from a quick ebay search of completed listing it looks like a well advertised used burberry can pull around $150 but that from a big seller with loads of feedback lots of them I saw didn't sell and the ones that did from smaller seller with listings that weren't very well put together sold for like $40-70.
