Beautiful and timeless solid navy pure cashmere Attolini hand made suit. Tagged 50R (Euro) this suit off the rack measured to a US 40R and has been altered to approximately a US 41R, or trim 42R. Easily taken back in to original rack measurements. This suit is in excellent condition showing no visible signs of wear. I has been altered and gently worn a few times. Alterations include letting the waist out of the trousers and cuffing them. Functional buttons (hand-sewn) were added to the jacket sleeves. I am selling this suit on consignment for a fellow SFer. Tempting ....... Attolini is with double T by the way (may help if someone is using search fuction). What is the total lenght of the pants and has the jacket been altered in any way?

Is it marked size 40, or does it just measure that way?

I'm pretty much an "off-the-shelf" 40R, but I consider your measurements a little small in the jacket and large in the pants. Perhaps 40 pear-shaped would be more accurate.

For what its worth, my off the rack Attolini EU 40R has a 22´chest and the pants have a waist of 34´ (with about 2.5 to let if so required).

Which picture best represents the true color of the suit?

Also, do you know exactly what alterations were done on the suit. I know my 40r Attolini had a 22 inch chest and 34 inch trousers before i took them both in an inch. I am tempted but am unsure how much hacking the Tailor has done to this suit. Do you know if the waist on the jacket was let out at all or just the chest? Im guessing if the pants were let out to a 36.5 the previous owner would have some trouble buttoning the waist of the jacket without some type of alterations.

would you consider this a 3 season fabric?

In response to some of the questions: 1. The pants have been altered and are easily returned to a 34" waist; 2. See post below about jacket alteration; 3. The suit is easily alterable to return it to "off the rack" 40R measurements; the trousers have been let out and the jacket waist has been let out slightly; 4. The true color of the suit is dark navy (aka midnight blue), most of the pictures show the suit to be a lighter blue than the true color. Depending upon your computer monitor, the closest may be the 'over the shoulder' shot on the jacket; 5. I would consider this a three season fabric; 6. The suit is marked a 50R Euro / 40R US.

The pants have an 11" rise (crotch seam to top button).

They measure 43.5" in total length (top of waist to bottom of cuff).

The inseam is 32" (crotch seam to bottom of cuff).

Yes, I have received confirmation that the waist was let out slightly on the jacket, with a taper retained.

I have rec'd word that this was done by a tailor who also makes bespoke clothing. My impression of the alterations is that they were very well done -- I could not tell that the jacket was let out by inspecting the garment.

Taking in the jacket and/or trousers should be easily done.

Additional jacket measurements are:

Across the front at the top button: 22"
Across the front at the middle button: 20.5"
Across the front at the bottom button: 21"
