Luggage - Favorite for function and cool look?

It seems everyone has the black nylon wheelie for luggage. After all, they do work. But what is your favorite luggage for function and looks? Lets assume you will carry on so excess damage by airlines is not an issue.

I really like the quality of my old Stratic (Germany) pullman. Porter is great for carry-on.

I have a leather suit bag that was made by Land in the 70's. It's a nice bag that has a nice patina and markings but it can be quite heavy if it has more than a suit.

I use a 9 yr old Patagonia messenger bag. It's the same size as a carry-on. Main compartment takes up pretty much the whole bag, which I like. No zipper on the main compartment to break or snag. Instead there's velcro, cinch straps, and buckles. Very adjustable depending on how much stuff is in there. One outer side pocket in mesh for a water bottle or wet clothing. One zippered top pocket for snacks, toiletries, pens, etc. I have a good garment bag and some larger check-ins, but if I'm traveling for a weekend to two weeks, this is all I need. It can also be used around town once I get to where I'm going. Also, it's orange, which I like for the visibility.

Globetrotter Orient range for carry on and their Classic range for checked in.

My set RIMOWA "Topas" range, much better than my old set of Halliburtons.

Suit case - Aluminium "Topas". Multiwheel (RIMOWA)
Suit case - Aluminium "Topas". Cabin-trolley (RIMOWA)
