Screens.

I rather like the concept of modular screens for interiors. For example, Erwin Hauer's screens were quite lovely:

They're interesting, but I usually stop liking them when I see the price tags attached to them. I prefer tall two way bookcases for this purpose instead.

Or maybe a stuffed rhinoceros.

I know a guy who uses a full-sized stuffed giraffe for this purpose.

I have a modular plastic screen from 1970 that I currently use as a decorative element (almost like a sculpture) along one wall of my living room. It was designed by Pierluigi Spadolini for Kartell and is now seen rather infrequently. The design was only produced in white, and unfortunately white plastic tends to darken/yellow over time (I have only seen one example of this set that was still bright white). Because of this, the prior owner had spray-painted the set in a different color. I have recently returned it to white by respraying; it looks good but not perfect.

I wish I had the Hermes "Pippa" leather folding screen. Of course, if I did, the cats would have destroyed it...
