I like them, but they're so crappily made that it's a turn off.

I wear my gazelles a fair bit. I think adidas look a lot better when they've been beat to **** over time... instead of the stripes (branding) being their only real character they've acquired some. the key is them not falling apart when they are that way. My gazelles have lasted about 5 years, but I think that's an anomolous example.

They're nice shoes that are extremely comfortable after a few wears. 7/10

didn't really care for them at first. I kinda bought them as shoes to do **** around stuff with. now, i absolutely love the way they look. 5/10 for comfort, 8/10 for style.

Two years is pretty standard time for me. But that's heavy use, for normal people probably 4-5 years.

8. I'm planning on getting a pair here shortly to wear with jeans and slim trousers. I have never had a pair, I used to wear a pair of Samba Super Suede back in the day. I was the only kid at school to have a pair, everyone else had the regular ones.

I first heard about this shoe because it was mentioned in the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy book by the clothing expert (forget his name - the flamboyant one) as a very classic, timeless shoe that should be an integral part of a man's wardrobe.

So I went to the store and checked them out, but I felt (along with some of the previous posters) that they're pretty shoddy in construction... they just felt "cheap". So I wear expensive running shoes which feel "solid".

expensive running shoes usually always look like crap

sambas are only good to play indoor soccer in for me...
i'd never wear them casually
