http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....MEWN:IT This overcoat is pretty awesome, Loro Piana wool/cashmere and is in immaculate condition, looks brand new. I was wondering what people thought of the manufacture date, also, the button panel hides the buttons on the front, when was this common? I know BR did it this year...

Nice coat. Do you mean, when did Belvest do this, or when was it in fashion, or what? It is a classic style of coat front. BR=Banana Republic?

I guess they were two separate questions, when do people think the actual coat was manufactured, and when was it in fashion? BR = Banana Republic.

i don't know the date...just wanted to compliment you on a great buy.  hope it fits you, aren't you a 44?  (label says e52) edit: btw, i don't think the hidden buttons date the jacket at all. they've always been around, much more of a preference thing...

I can't decipher the codes on the label, but the coat will always be 'in fashion', IMO. It is a classic and timeless style.

Yes, it fits more or less perfectly as I can tell... It is a 52 Italian but measures to a generous 44 American...

The coat looks like a Chesterfield, minus the velvet collar.  I agree with j, it will always be in fashion.

well, yeah...it's an overcoat. it should run large. i think it works out well for CA, since you probably won't be wearing a suit under it often. great buy.

it's fantastic, it's not a fashion issue, that is a classic.

yeah, I think I could wear a suit under it comfortably, but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I will try it tonight to see how it is.
