Jogging Vs. Sprints - Page 2

Worst CC workouts I ever did was a 16x400 day, running at 70 second splits.

Then during track one day, same coach had us do 8x800 on 2:30 splits. That shit blew.

Made us better though! I've never been in that good of shape!

Anyone who turned the long sprint in 75 seconds or less gets my

I was never that fast, and likely never will be. Long distance is my game, and I'm still not that good at it.

We had a kid who in the state meet ran a 53.8, which is insane. I think he was close to the state record, but I'm not gonna look it up.

My best 800 time was a 2:04 which got me the bye through sectionals and to regionals, but didn't get me to state. Then the kid who won state that year ran a 1:57.12. 6 and 1/2 seconds faster and I'm the fastest kid in the state. But nope, I was just some no-name slow kid lol. Oh well.

I'd love to get back into it, not competitively, but just for my own health. I've been running and biking lately, but it's rough trying to start a new routine.

I have no idea what I ran 400 in, I just remember it was the one thing that I hated more than anything else. I was able to get a pace for longer runs, and I was able to not embaress myself on shorter runs, but 400 made me want to puke.
