Spring Jackets for Tall Guys

Hello Everyone,

It's my first time creating a thread. I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions about where I could find a spring jacket, that could be worn with everything. The catch is that I'm 6 foot 3 inches about 230 lbs. and I usually have difficulty finding coats/jackets to fit my arm length. Does anyone have any brand selections that provide jackets for tall men? FYI...I dispise the big and tall store, because everything is unfashionable, and because I'm not big! I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer me. Thanks in advance!!!

im the same height as you and can wear H&M jackets in L-XL thats usually are cut pretty slim but with long sleeves.

Banana Republic, Gap, and J. Crew do tall outwear on their websites, and you can make returns to stores.

Thanks for the help. I usually get my clothes from GAP online since they carry tall clothes. I was really looking for something other than GAP, JCrew, Banana Republic, Old Navy. I really like the styles that Shades of Greige and Public School offer. They're modern, chic, and contemporary with a twist. That's really more my style. I particularly don't go for things that are plain. I need a little more embellishment, but no too much.

I think we have a similar problem. I am about 6'5 1/2, I also have problems with sleeves. I just finished an article on my blog with '10 jackets for Spring and Summer'. This little bit of 'investigative journalism' really taught me a lot. There are a good amount of options out there, and I feel like it's increasing.

I also like more stylish jackets than the run of the mill jackets often labeled 'big and tall', but not dandyish or ultra-hip.

For your size, I know Macy's gets XLT and 2XLT from time to time, mostly Polo / Ralph Lauren. Below is the list of stores that I found jackets ranging from 40-46 chest and extra Long jackets:

Macy's
Westport Big & Tall
Paul Frederick
Sheplers
Men's Wearhouse
Casual Male XL
Blair
L.L. Bean
Eddie Bauer
J. Crew

You should have luck there. There is a gorgeous blazer at Blair that I am thinking of purchasing that's a little more classic euro-style.

I also created a whole gallery of jackets fitting the large-tall / extra-large tall size on my blog. Let me know if you are in need of something and I will try to help.

A lot of department stores carry long/tall sizes. I often saw things even at Nordstrom Rack in long sizes.

I'm not quite sure how long your arms are, but I've got disproportionately long arms for a 6'2" person, and find that Nice Collective, Un Solo Mondo, Isaac Sellam all cut their sleeves long enough for me.

Casual Male XL has really great big and tall jackets. They also have really great sales so make sure you are on the look out for those if you want to save some money. Also, Old Navy has larger sizing if you want something more along the lines of that kind of style.
