It barely even took place in the hospital, didn't wrap anything up, it wasn't that funny...just not how you should end 7 years of an audience getting to know and love the characters, which is sort of what the show hangs its hat on. This is all assuming that it is, indeed, the series finale. There have been a lot of talks about ABC picking up the final dozen or so episode that are probably written but not filmed. The Scrubs page on NBC's website is only referring to it as the season finale, so here's hoping. That would go a long way in explaining the awkward conclusion, which makes a lot more sense as a stepping stone towards the inevitable feel-good ending to the Elliot/JD will-they-won't-they than as a series ender.
Agreed. I didn't HATE the episode as a king of theme episode on the middle of a season, but for the season finale, let alone the freakin SERIES finale, it was terrible and left everything open. Some of the jokes were good, but 90% were lame. The Office tonight for the most part sucked too. Disappionting night.
P.S. that'd be sweet if ABC picked up the last few eps.
