This week we are launching an updated online bespoke shirt site. It's a work in progress, so expect many updates in the coming months. We are looking for individuals interesting in piloting this program. We are offering a 50% discount on your purchase in exchange for feedback. If you are interested, please e-mail info@hamiltonshirts.com.

I'm interested in any of your comments in this thread about existing online shirt sites at all price points. What do you like? What don't you like? Have you purchased online before? If you have, perhaps describe your experience. If you haven't, why not and what might convince you to purchase online. Hopefully, this will be a good thread for anyone interested in shirts online.

To learn more please visit www.hamiltonshirts.com

Thanks,
David Hamilton

Are you able to simply copy the measurements of an existing shirt?

You send them measurments and a list of what you want. They send you a form to try on and let them know what measurments need to be adjusted, you send it back and then they send you the completed bespoke shirts you want....right?

The website also says you can mail them a well fitting shirt. Gunning for disaffected Kabbaz clients.

Do you think they would give me the 50% off if I mail them one of my Hamilton bespoke shirts?

The program that we are piloting is best described here... http://www.hamiltonshirts.com/assets...fit_packet.pdf. We have a great deal of experience working with customers who can't visit us in person. We have been making shirts since 1883 and are the shirtmaker for some of the country's best men's specicalty stores, including Barneys New York http://www.hamiltonshirts.com/Retailers.aspx . We do not rely heavily on customer's taking their own measurements. We do use that information, but only as one reference point. More important are the photos in our provided fit shirt and voice of the customer.

A trial shirt will be constructed in your selected fabric http://www.hamiltonshirts.com/ShirtFabrics.aspx and style http://www.hamiltonshirts.com/Styles.aspx. After a fitting, we will make any necessary adjustments and proceed with the balance of your order only upon your approval.

We can copy measurements from an existing shirt, but that is not the program that we are testing now.

I certainly understand skepticism about a high quality bespoke shirt online. However, I'm confident in the process as we guarantee 100% satisfaction. If we are unable to provide a satisfactory trial shirt you may cancel the order at no charge.

I have a few Barney's shirts. The fit and the fabric are pretty nice. The buttons are nothing special for the money.

AnGeLiCbOrIs - thanks for the feedback. When did you buy your Barneys shirts? We offer two button styles - thick and thin. I'm wondering if you have the thin button and prefer thick (more like most Italian shirts). I believe that we have always offered good buttons. Within the last six months we actually moved to an even higher quality button. It is the top quality from our Italian supplier. If you let me know your address in a PM I will send you a sample.

I think this would be interesting. I would like to give your website a run, even though i am in houston, the web is so much more convenient. I normally buy Isaia or Barbera shirts that fit me fine with decent fabrics for reference. Thin plasticy button though are a deal breaker.

Regards.

Shikar - would love for you to try. Houston is a big city and the traffic can be awful. The website is definitely for Houstonians. Sometimes you may like to look online and sometimes you may want to drop in. Please send an e-mail to info@hamiltonshirts.com w/ your contact info if you want to test it out. Thanks.

Is your website going to change? I don't think it is the easiest layout for ordering shirts. I see how you do your pricing structure based on A-B-C-D etc and that makes sense. But can you have detailed information on the fabric; mill; thickness; buttons, etc?

I emailed you and would like to try out your services.

Thanks,

Nathan
