Miguel, I'm not THAT far left . I am against crass display and for genuine horological technical and brand interest. By the way, I consider your interest in the Jules Audemars EOT intriqueing. A interesting bit of timekeeping mechanics added to the extremely well regarded 2120 base. Would be my watch if the investment portfolio could stand cashing out but it can't.

I prefer this Roche Vouceau. It tells time simultaneously in Monte Carlo, Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Rome and Gstaad.

Albert Einstein

"In this great[vague] Swiss Manufacture of watches, the torch of the founders of the company continues to be carried by their successors in hot line. Since 1882, the members of the Audemars families and Piguet sat always at the Board of directors and thus directly or indirectly ran the company." Wikipedia

That's enough fo me, that commands a lot of respect, as no other traditional watch maker can claim that. I cannot think of a better contender to Patek Philippe.

I just think you're missing the point and I agree that you are grasping at straws. It's like asking: "What is the best car?" or "What is the best suit?" or "Who should I marry?" There's no real answer to it; it's a matter of personal taste, and whole list of variables that will vary from individual to individual.

You're entitled to your opinion......

even if it's wrong.
