1. Chu Herringbone 50/50 wool/linen sportcoat. 3-roll-2. Dual vents, ticket pocket, fully lined, great gorge placement IMO, unfinished funtionalable sleeves (I just noticed the extra buttons are missing). Color is a "natural", I guess: off-white oatmeal ground with light brown herringbone (close up of the button shows color, pattern and texture best). Think of suede bucks, that's the color. As you can see from the inner pocket tag, this is from Chu's mysterious new manufacturer, and I can feel the improvement in this case. Mr. Sid's tag calls it a 40R, but the inner tag says 38, so check the measurements.
chest: 21"
waist: 19"
shoulders: 18.5"
length: 30"
sleeve: 25"

Sold.

2. Corneliani 56% silk, 24% flax, 20% cotton 38R sportcoat. Model name is "Easy C1". 3-roll-2.5. Dual vents, patch pockets, quarter-lined in that cool candystripe lining you see below. Sleeves have 4 nonfunctionals. Color is sky-blue; easter sportcoat par excellence.
chest: 20.75"
waist: 19.5"
shoulder: 18.5"
length:30.5"
sleeve: 25"

Sold.

3. Turist 100% cotton cords. Italy-made, flat front, triple closure, split-curtain waistband, nice trim fit. Dig the square-cut buttons. Color is orange, but not autumnal pumpkin orange, more fresh-squeezed-OJ orange; a great spring color IMO. Incotex-quality hands down. Labeled 48eu, but check measurements.
waist: 34" (+ 2" to let)
inseam: 37" unfinished (a 32" hemjob would have an 8.5" opening)

Bergdorf's price: $295, yours $90 shipped conUS ->
Sold.

4. Polo Prospect cotton chinos. Got these for xmas, never even took off the tags. Color is a green/brown, sorta military. labelled 34x30, but check mesaurements.
waist: 33" (+2" to let)
inseam: 29.5"
hem: 8.5"

sold.
<- this is the "prospect"

#3 is beautiful too.

Barack is a size 34 I believe and I bet he would love those Turist Cords.

They would make a nice campaign contribution!

he's skinner than that, no? I'd figure him for a ~38L.

Keep in mind, he's only been in D.C. for a few years, so he has yet to grow fat off all that gov't pork.

I'll look, but I think I more or less tapped out the source on the Chu. I believe I saw more of the Corneliani in different colors (a navy 40R IIRC, a couple others perhaps), but I liked the sky blue best so that's the one I snagged.

Just don't tell him about this forum. We have enough competition at that size already!
