Hand Washing Cashmere?

I found this link in a Best life magazine.

I've been dry cleaning my cashmere, but it sounds like I should wash now...I heard about forever new. Anyone tried this? What do most people do/use?

My standard technique for years has been to take a gentle shampoo, fill a sink with cold water and some of the shampoo and then soak my cashmere shirts and sweaters for an hour so before replacing the water with clean water until all of the shampoo is gone. Then I usually let the sweaters drain a little in the sink before laying them out on the floor on towels to dry, and when they are fairly dry, laying them over the backs of chairs. I have always found this method to work very well for general cleaning. I still take it to a dry cleaner if there is a stain I cannot get rid of.
