Macy's?!?!? I wish I would have known that. A 6 pack would be the way to go. I might have pick up some more sometime.

Yep, my sister bought me the Glencairn 6-pack as a gift. The current price is $69/6 glasses but she got them on sale. I think she said the sale price was around $40 for 6 glasses. Edit: as of 9/1 they are on sale for $47 for 6 glasses. Jump on it.

I had to try it after all the positive feedback. As far as my verdict...I think it is is good rum. It smells like rum, which scared me..too many bad memories. It initially burns like rum but only for a second and then it dissipates and finishes smooth. Very surprising. Coming from a place of never wanting rum in any form to being able to drink it straight. I would say that was a success. Further, exploration is necessary to see if I can develop more of a taste for it.

I think I would like it served on ice like Hunts mentioned. I will give that a try next. I think winter will work better for serving drinks neat.
I'd go for ice. I don't really like rum straight too much as I associate rum with warm weather. It's 2 cubes of ice for me, if they completely melt before you finish then you ain't drinkin fast enough.

A crying shame. Love the stuff

Interesting. Which one did you have. Not too many people talk about this grape. If you ever have the chance try the Elena Fucci Titolo. It is excellent. I 1st had it at A16 in San Francisco a few years ago and then I had it a few weeks ago at F.I.G. in Charleston. I know you can buy it online but I have never seen it in a store or other restaurant menus.

Few more things:
Old Raj 55% (restock)
Aberlour a'bunadh batches 28 & 29 - I loved some of the recent ones, namely 23, 26 and 27 so I figured I'd try these too.
Hudson Corn Whiskey - Now in a 750cl bottle! This tastes like liquid corn bread, definitely one to try if you haven't. Hunts, I think you especially would have fun with cocktail applications for this.

Unfortunately not very famous, indeed. The one I got is a Cepollaro, I doubt one can find it on the Internet or in stores - I just happen to be in Italy at the moment for work reasons.

Man you are tough to keep up with. Do you buy 3-4 bottles a week? You must have some bar!

Only when my wife is out of town.

Went and bought some Tito's Vodka after seeing that it was on sale for $22 a handle. A room temperature shot was smoother than any other i've taken. Huge bang for the buck!

Just bought some Zaya rum. I've heard, here, that this "new Zaya" is not nearly as good as the "old", but I'm still interested. I'll open and review it tomorrow in the other thread.

Its a little less smooth and a little less sweet, but its still very good. I get lots of really nice vanilla, especially on the nose. Its a great buy.

Guess what showed up today:

I did not expect them to be so small. Certainly antiquate for whiskey/scotch drinking but I pictured them as being larger.
