calling all SF members crazy ebay lot sale

so, I was browsing ebay, and found this...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Maharishi-Meltin...QQcmdZViewItem

I think there's some really interesting jeans in there, I mean for the most part, no one would probably want them.
I think there's a total of maybe 150 pairs of jeans on that listing.
say the listing end at 3000, or maybe even 5000, that's like 30 bucks a pair...

So maybe all of us SF members, can poll together, everyone who wants something on there, reply and list how much you would like to pay. Say we only want 50 pairs of those jeans for 100 bucks each. Then we'll have 100 pairs of jeans left. Then I, and everyone on this forum who contributed will randomly get the left overs and you can do w/e you want w/ them.(sell them back on ebay for 30 bucks a piece).

any other suggestions?

I doubt this will happen but if people pull together I'm in for PRPS selvage 32x31 for $100. Maybe for some Canes too.

that kinda sucks. I think there's some quality denim in there. I mean some are crap. but at east the canes and prps are pretty good...

The logistics required will make Operation Market Garden look like a camping trip.

This just all seems completely stupid. Is saving $50-100 on a single pair of jeans worth the risk of probable fraud, dealing with extra shitty jeans, etc.? Really?

Yeah it does some pretty crazy, but if someone was up for organizing all of it, I'd be in for a $100 bucks for a pair of sugar canes or two.

The bottom line is that this won't work unless you find people who want to buy jeans >size 36.. Which is tough. If you can, then I think it is possible. But there would definitely need to be more organization.

so s I did a quick evaluation. these are the size distributions. 30\t7 31\t0 32\t23 33\t1 34\t34 35\t0 36\t26 37\t0 38\t38 39\t0 40\t13 41\t0 42\t2 as far as brands go. PRPS 15 melting pot 21 sugar cane 25 maharishi 57 (what the hell is this brand anyways)

i think maybe a better idea is to just first get a poll of people who's interested in any of these jeans. and also a poll for the different sizes people wear. consider the prps will be 100 a piece, selvage 120. the sugar canes 100 a piece, and meltin'pot 70 a piece. rest i would say 40. unless people think otherwise. If I can get a count. I'll buy them and then distribute them to the members. This way I can get a good count on how much the forum can actually poll together.
