Plant/s, greenery to get

Thread Starter
I'm looking to introduce some plant life into my living room but I'm not sure what to get. I live in an old (read thick walled and thus cold in winter and cool in summer) condo which has not a great deal of natural light, and very little direct sunlight because of the angle and facing buildings. The floor has thick, cold ceramic tiles.
I'd prefer something which doesn't flower and also isn't high maintenance (watering and holidays don't go together). Also it should be medium sized, to be accommodated in a corner, probably...
Ideas, recs?

I have a yucca cane which would seem to fit within your parameters. I really like it and have received nothing but complements on it.

I think jade plants (crassula ovata) are great for a low-maintenance, medium-sized plant. They can live for decades and mine have survived some pretty serious negligence. They are popular for a reason.

You could try a Cast Iron plant. I was looking for something to add to my place here recently as well. This plant is about as hardy as you can find.

Read up on it here.
