6'6" (shorter than Yao). I definitely feel like most clothes are made for men less than 6'2" and maybe taller than 5'9", but I am just assuming.

I'm 5'7". It's not a problem at all for me, it just means I need to make a little more effort to find well-fitting clothes. I imagine that's why there's a reasonable number of other short folk here. Dress well and height becomes less of an issue.

My mother is 5'11 and 1/2 my father is 6'3 yet I only ended up being around 6'1. Even though I was 5'10 in the 7th grade.

5'7.25". Thought about getting that leg-extension surgery down in Serbia but have so far decided against it and the 6 month excruciating pain recovery period. Still, wouldn't mind being average height. I've been around really tall people for the last 10 years or so, through college and the army, and have gotten used to looking up. Force of personality definitely helps people overlook size differences. Friends tend to not think of me as particularly short, even when they're half a foot taller or more.

Yeah, to Amerikajinda maybe.

Is that a real 5'7" or a Tom Cruise 5'7"?

Afterall, there are plenty of unwealthy, ugly men out there with attractive girlfriends or wives.

For example, I have absolutely no clue why my fiancee is attracted to me. I'd like to believe it's sheer animal magnetism at work, but somehow I doubt that.
You should be an image consultant.

I'm 6'1". My younger brother is 6'8". My dad is 5'7". Go figure.

6'2". I wouldn't want to be any taller or shorter- I find it a very good height: I'm tall enough to make an impression in a crowd, but not tall to the extent where people would point at me (in Europe, at least). Both my parents are quite short, though, and up to the age of 15 everything indicated I'd never come close to breaking 6'. My family history is quite well recorded, and most of it indicates that very few relatives reached my height.

6' 6", which is awesome in that I like being tall but has caused issues in the past, like when I had to sell my first car because I couldn't fit in it anymore.

And air flight is more painful than anyone below 6' could ever imagine.
