stylish backpack - Page 14

Forget Herschel. They're made in the PRC. With bags, I avoid anything that's made in China, Vietnam or Philippines.

Duluth or Kletterwerks are both made in USA and fantastic quality - I've owned bags by both of them and they're rock solid. Filson has a great reputation as well (as mentioned above), but never bought one.

On the Japanese front, Master-Piece are always really well made. I've had a couple of their bags.

I also love the look of this.

I already decided I will go for IISE black leather dayback. But I said that this backpack from Herschel looks solid if anyone is looking for something cheap.

Yeah, you did say "cheap", fair point. None of what I suggested is anywhere near the Herschel price.

I always think it's a bit of a false economy, though. A Duluth or Filson should last decades. I can't imagine that Herschel lasting very long.

I've always been a sucker for well made luggage/bags etc.

BTW, I'd be interested to hear a report back on the IISE. Workmanship, details etc.

They replied on my question that maybe they might restock them in a month or so. So I will definitely write about it when I get it if they restock them.

P.S. this Herschel should last you for about a year if you wear it hard every day I guess. I have Little America backpack from them, and it isn't that bad after a year of usage. But I always wanted a good all black leather backpack but never found one that will look clean enough to buy it. IISE got me on their side, I just have to wait now.

As I am still waiting for that IISE restock, I found this. Fucking beautiful. http://shop.pb0110.de/en/men/ca6-backpack-black-leather.html

damn this is really nice! just checked his online store and this CW is already sold out. You own it?

Can the IISE actually hold something like a 15" laptop with a couple of notebooks? The height is 17" but the top is curved so wasn't sure. If not, is there a clean black backpack that's big enough to hold those things? Doesn't have to be leather. Thanks.

Pretty nice. I like how it's clean and simple. And I think grey it's an easy colour to work with. Is it for work situations or casual? What clothing would you combine it with?

work situations mostly, casual for when i need my laptop. I plan to just wear it with shirt/jeans/boots mostly, sometimes a jacket nothing too crazy. I want a backpack specifically because i never found brief cases or messenger bags comfortable.

Just ordered this from Tanner Goods. They were super accommodating and helpful in combining an order I made with sister store Woodlands. Big thumbs up for their customer service. Can't wait to receive the backpack, looks awesome.
