Who has the best happy hours in Washington, DC? Anyone with any suggestions?

There is an Excel file that's been floating around every office in the city for years. Talk to a Staff Assistant and get on the list serv.

As for your question... that totally depends on how old you are, where you work, what part of the city you're in, what's your crowd, etc...

haha, go anywhere in Washington and say you work as a staffer for Barack Obama...or John McCain...you'll get laid real quick.

Here's an out-dated article from the Post about that Excel file with a link to the file and an explanation of why it sucks. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/going..._the_hype.html As opposed to just finding the "best deals," it's much better to find conveniently-located bars with an atmosphere you like. Years ago, I'd spend 30 minutes trudging across town to go to some famed happy hour place. It would enivtably be packed with people I didn't care to hang-out with and then I'd have to take a cab home, pretty much negating any amount of money I just saved. Just find a few good places near your home or office and chances are they'll have a happy hour special. (see Jodum5's post)
