Favorite Gin

What's your favorite gin and how do you like to drink it?

I'm currently drinking Tanqueray #10 and a not as prominent, Dogfish Head Jin. Dogfish Head is more well known for their beer, but this gin goes down very easy. Both flavorfull and smooth.

Hendrick's, hands down. Wonderful in a G&T with a nice slice of cucumber in lieu of the lime. Great martini, too.

Plymouth is tough to beat.

+1 Plymouth is very good especially given the price. I usually use something cheaper ($18-$20/liter) or sweeter (Sapphire) for G&T's and save the good stuff for Martinis. Has anyone tried that new lime-flavored gin? Tasty or garbage? I usually ask for a lime zest rather than an olive in my Martinis, so it could be interesting.

Not a fan of Tanqueray Rangpur. Something off about it... I'll stick with gimlets if I want lime+gin.

http://www.leopoldbros.com/gin.html I like that gin a lot but prefer Tanqueray when I drink gin. I love gin and tonics and it is amazing how such a simple drink can be screwed up so bad in some bars.

+1, G&Ts get screwed up more than any other drink I order - the bad ones usually have tonic that is flat, watery, or off-tasting. I make mine with a fat lime wedge and hate when bars serve it with a dinky sliver of lime.

Normally Gordon's but I am not discriminating...My parrents always bought it, so I guess it is simply a habbit.

I usually mix it with apple juice (another one of my dads influences) or sometimes with tonic.

I don't drink gin generally, but Hendricks is good stuff.

I hated gin till I had Dry Fly Gin. Its from a local distiller and oh so smooth and delicious, my Christmas this year was much more drunk due to dry fly g&ts.

#10 for me. Good in G&T and martini's.

As my brother the banker replied, lo these many years ago, "the cheapest."

I like it.

My favorite is Citadelle. Cheaper than Tanqueray, and smoother IMO.

Another Junipero fan here. Hendrick's, Plymouth - also yes.

Tanqueray is my default at bars with limited selection.
