Actually, I usually use the handle of a piece of silverware. I don't know why it has to be the handle, it is the straightest, though potentially dirtiest part.

At a bar, I'll do the whole "swirl the glass" thing. At home, I just use my finger to get the ice moving.

Well, I'll admit, if I'm drinking at home alone and it's a drink that's not mixing well, I've been known to use everything from my cigarette lighter to the antenna of my phone (my common sense decreases as the night goes on).

Hell, as long as it gets the drink mixed, I'm not too choosy.
