I like that check. I want one. C'mon Jason, get on the slimG9 clone war... We'll call it the J9, you can say it's your initial but I'm the one kicking your ass about it.

Looking at picking up a G9 slimfit. I'm 5'9, 145 pounds. Think I should go for a size 36 or 38? Oipolloi says that the size 38 is 21.5" pit-to-pit, which sounds a little bigger than the measurements posted when someone sold one here. I know a couple people here have 36's, so I was wondering how their build compares to mine.

^i'm 5'7, same weight. i don't own one, but i would definitely go for a 36. if your suit jacket shoulders are 18" or more, then you should go for the 38.

get the 36

I'm 5'10 152.....I have both 36 and 38. 36 fits better overall, 38 is good if you're gonna layer a sweater underneath.

Alright gang, it's my turn - I'm 6"0 and probably 165.

I measured a Ben Sherman jacket that I love the fit of and pit-to-pit it was just over 22". I'm normally a 38-39 in suit jackets, etc.

According to Oi Polloi, the 38 measures 21.5" pit-to-pit and the 40 measures 22.5" pit-to-pit. Is this accurate?

I'd rather have a very fitted jacket than a loose jacket in general, but I'm not sure that this type of fit will work with the G9 Slimfit.

Is there any stretching/shrinking that I should be at all aware of here?

...just looking for somebody to sway me either way. Thanks.

Thanks, stickonatree and Get Smart. I'm leaning towards the Dark Navy. Does anyone own that one? My only concern is that it wouldn't be ideal to wear with jeans since it would be so close in color to most denim.
