drinking protein shakes was some advice, I was asking about it. today: my belt is fitting a little looser, almost ready to go down a notch. 'm also feeling better, an I woke up really hungry which is good since i'm now eating earlier. meals: eggs and 12 grain toast with peanut butter for breakfast, skim milk and a salad for lunch, steak tips with broccoli for dinner, and birthday cake (happy 21 to me!) about 10 miles on my bike as usual this weekend i'll be away so i might not get to update much, but i'm not really a drinker so i really only expect to have a couple pieces of birthday cake different from my diet, as well as trying to up my protein more. I'm not much of a drinker anyways, so maybe a couple drinks tomorrow night at the casino but that's about it there. good news is i'll probably get a couple 30-40 mile rides in, so that should balance it out.

yesterday i had a nice steak, and a salad at michael jordan's restaurant at the casino, a piece of birthday cake, a bagel and cream cheese, and some celery with all natural peanut butter. oh, and lots of grapes. today's been pretty good too, woke up late so i've had an omelette and some wheat toast, more grapes (10lbs for 10 dollars at shaws haha) and i think i'm going to have some steak or chicken fajitas for dinner. i'm getting in more protien now too, and got in a nice 20 mile ride along the shore yesterday too.

You've got to create a calorie deficit, and burn more than you eat and drink. It's the only way that you're going to lose weight. Also lower your glycemic load as much as you can, and cut out sodium as much as you can - or else you'll keep your water weight no matter what you do. Also avoid processed foods.

Stop eating peanut butter. You don't need a big wad of fat on your celery.

wouldn't all natural peanut butter be a good source of healthy fats and proteins though? a couple pages back smw gave the advice to add those to my diet. yesterday was an allright day, though it was a bit harder considering my birthday celebrations. I've had one drink all weekend, so that's not too hard to avoid, but i dd have some spaghetti and cake. going on a 20 mile ride today though, hopefully i'll burn off the carbs then.

natural pb is a good fat source and a shitty protein source (it doesn't contain a complete amino acid profile), but its very calorie dense. Its all meaningless unless you actually lay out a plan for yourself though, since you have no pretty baselines and no concrete goals.

Who cares about water weight, I'd rather carry some extra water weight than be sodium deficient. Fat mass and Lean mass are the only "weights" that matter.

past couple days have been good, lots of riding and i've been completely off cereal. eggs for breakfast, salad and either peanut butter/cold cut sandwhich for lunch, and usually chiken or fish with some veggies for dinner. thanks for everyone's help, it's becoming pretty easy i'm going to weigh myself next week to see if i've lost weight, i dont want to do it too much.

yea, it deff. is. I couldn't wait and weighed myself today, i'm at 205. that's down about 3 lbs from when i started, still could be a weight fluctuation but i really think it's weight i've lost. i think i'm going to try to just get to 195 and see how i can maintain it...only 10 lbs to go
