As I said earlier, my Reiters are indestructible.
Note: they use English sizes. Mine were bought at the main store in Vienna. I am a near impossible fit 4E (h) with low insteps.
They were able to fit me. At the time Vass and several other
Austro Hungarian RTW vendors could not

There is one recommendable Austrian manufacturer that I know of that you don't have on your list yet: Ludwig Reiter

Scroll down a bit for Norwegers.
Thanks! - I forgot about Ludwig Reiter; their Norweger selection is extensive and looks to be available on two lasts: Salzburg (sleeker) and Hungarian (burlier) which is interesting.

They look to be in the Vass pricing category - but on sale might come closer to my range. I've got a feeling my price point is going to move northwards; that happens fast in this game.

At Ludwig Reiter contact Raoul Rubens, if he's still there.
He's a manager or some such and also can explain their
MTO program

Went to the Ludwig Ritter store near Odeonplatz in Munich and was not especially impressed by the quality of their offerings. Their rubber sole offerings, specifically, looked like shoes that you'd get at Payless in the US. The quality didn't seem especially pronounced, either.

They look well made and super sturdy, but a little too "chunky" and unrefined for my taste for dress shoes.

I could maybe see them w/ jeans/casual, but to be honest, even then they look too crunchy/homegrown for me at least.

Yes, feeling the same. Good shoes, lacking lustre and refinement though. There's a Ludwig Reiter shop here in Berlin and I never saw anything exciting. If something, I would go for their boots.

I prefer dull, expensive shoes with round toes,
no broguing, and four or fewer eyelets. This pair
from Marini in Rome, which I could never afford,
is a perfect example.
