C&A,
C&A,
I had shoes made by Maftei but by Lucian's father who is also pleasure to deal with. I had a wood pegged shoes made I did not know about handsewn option. Anyways for my next order I would like to go litlle bit in details and as I mentioned I am more comfortable discussing details in english so it is good to know that Lucain speaks english.
If I understood him correctly his father concentrates on the more traditional models and mainly does wood pegging, whereas Lucian himself likes to do more elegant shoes and prefers hand sewn. Although he can surely also make the more traditional models.
interesting, due to the fact that the construction has nothing to do with the shape or execution of a certain model.
Hey Fritz, maybe you have misread,
I only mentioned that Maftei jr not only makes traditional models but also more elegant shoes. And that he told me he prefers hand sewn over wood pegged because the latter is more stiff (his words).
btw, the upcharge for the handsewn is called "idiot tax"...
The discount for wood-pegged construction is also known as the 'country- bumpkin-rebate'.
so what does that make saint chrispins that have both sown and wood pegged welts on the same shoe??
C&A,
You mean the Made in Romania shoe?
