Burgundy/Oxblood shoes with brown clothes...?

What do folks here think about wearing dark oxblood/burgundy shoes with earthtone/brown trousers/shirt? I always wear that color shoe with black/blue/grey gear but have been thinking of mixing it in with my browns. i've never seen anyone wearing this combination and traditionally, burgundy is worn with navy/black.

I do it on occasion. Particularly if the pants have a rust-brown tint, it can look good. It will likely depend on the particular shade of brown and shade of shoe.

I think this combination can work nicely, but I recommend mixing shoes with an antiqued finish with chocolate browns. Overall, I still prefer brown with brown.

right on, i thought it would look good but wasnt sure if i was just being mental. the shoes in particular are an antiqued burgundy and i was thinking of pairing them with Chocolate brown so it sounds like i'm not the only one that thinks it is a winning combo
