That's been my experience as well Matt.

This has been my experience, too, especially on the small 7 seaters. The luxury is the convenience.

+1. The last GIV and Citation X I was on did have a couch as part of the seating configuration as these were not really business use jets, but rather personal. There is definitely a huge luxury to be able to pull onto the tarmac, load your bags and be in the air in 20 minutes as opposed to getting to the airport 1.5 to 2 hours early and waiting for delays. Private air travel provides the luxury of time.

Anything can be worth it if you're rich enough.

This reminds me of the stories I've read about when Mobutu Sese Seko used to have the Concorde fly down into his obscure African village to take him shopping. Apparently, the village had an airport built with the Concorde specifically in mind. He also used to fly his hairdresser on the Concorde from New York direct to Zaire.

I'd go for the VLJ. Wouldn't like being a passenger though. And being in the left-hand seat might not be such a good idea. I can only fly single-engined props.
