Personally, I have always liked the idea that I could pack up every material thing I cared about in a suitcase and be ready to move in under half an hour. Â
I've moved so much in the past four years between places college-internship-summer school-home not to mention short trips here and there that I kind of don't feel like I have a sense of home anymore. I stay on the northern border of the Upper East Side NYC now, living with very minimalist furniture -- my walls are all white, my sheets and comforter are white. I think they look good with my beech colored bedframe, parquet floor, and halogen spotlights. As for cookware, I only have two places, a bowl, a knife, a fork, and a spoon. The kitchen electronics came with the apartment.
