Hi all. For some reason, I have not owned boots for quite some time, and wanted to pick up two or three for casual wear (jeans, khakis etc.). I wanted to get people's opinion on the following boots.

Based on my reviews of this forum, I was considering one of the following RM Williams. Does anyone own these particular models or have other recommendations for RM Williams?

I know nothing about ecco, and really have not seen them mentioned much. According to certain websites, they are very comfortable. I was looking at these too.

Thanks as always.

The heel on that first model is... intense.

The first one is the only one I find appealing to the eye

the first one is okay but the color is not as versatile, the 2nd and 3rd are blech. Just go look in the RMW thread and get the classic one first, the comfort craftsman in dark brown

first one: heel is too strange. imo

2nd one: too boring, see that boot coming and going all the time, i dont care what type of Italian leather it may be, thats just my perspective.

3rd one: out of the 3 i would get these, just because they are different and not really ugly. PLUS the contrast stitching and details in the sole give it versatility with Brown/black clothing.

The first one is a nice style, but I don't really care for the colr and it's not really versatile. The second is okay, but more of a work or "yard" boot. The third is meh, but probably comfortable. I agree with Tarmac and say you should get the comfort Craftsmen.

Thank you all for the opinions. Based on advice from this forum, I actually purchased Clarks Desert Boots in dark brown this weekend. I also intend to purchase the Comfort Craftsman in brown or black.

I also am trying to purchase the attached boots from a.testoni. I do not know much about the brand, but for some reason, I really would like a grey suede boot. (I agree that the first boot above really is not a replacement for what I want. The color is pretty bad, but I could not find a grey boot.)

Thank you all again for the advice. It is appreciated.

in my opinion all those boots are ugly, chunky and not very "fashion forward" well constructed as they may be.

Those boots pictured are pretty fugly. However, the desert boots are always a good choice. I have a pair in sand and they are pretty versatile.
