i know a lot of people in the d.c. area love to hate local "nightlife" website brightestyoungthings.com, but it's always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

plus, their post about pork restaurants in petworth definitely opened my eyes to these little homegrown bbq places, and i might even have to go to the rib pit off 14th st. as soon as i get the chance!
$1.50 for quality pork and bean soup??

I love the 'cue. Unfortunately, this place is a bit out of the way and the food would be cold by the time I got back home.

I might try out Henry's Soul Cafe.

forget the pork. go to Super Pollo in Ballston, Arlington for peruvian chicken! It's seriously some of the best stuff ever.

cool. I'll check out the other peruvian chicken places next time I'm in town. The chicken itself is definitely the highlight of Super Pollo. The sides could've been better. If I recall correctly I got fried plantains and yukka. Both weren't hot enough, but probably would've been good if it had been. Pairing the perfectly seasoned chicken with a nice refreshing Inca Kola and I was in heaven though.

A friend brought over a bunch of the peruvian chicken for a super bowl party we attended. It was good but I wasn't floored.

Anyone know of any Korean fried chicken places in Washington? I had some at this place in NY. AMAZING!
