if you are on the taller side, daffy's in nyc is loaded with stuff by patrizia pepe. the t's are $20-26, some have 5% elastane.
specs: 39" chest, 34" waist, 26" length. (medium)

^^i agree. I love BR's tees. In fact, i have grey white black and like blue grey. They all feel great and fit great for 16.99 i think it is.

I got some Zara V-Necks for $9 on sale last summer. They have stretch in them, but I had to size up almost two sizes (I'm normally a medium and I went with a large, but I could have even gone XL).

Probably the best t-shirt I've ever bought.

I also recommend Banana Republic's athletic-fit tees. They fit extremely well, tapering slightly from chest to waist.

I've recently tried Target's "Mossimo" (I think that's how it's spelled) brand of T's that I believe they refer to as athletic fit. I'm very tough to fit (52" chest, 40" waist, 6'3" tall) but these fit a lot better than most t's I've tried. They're pretty comfortable, and around $14. Time will tell how they hold up.

i have had many AA tees and a few alternative app tees, and I still prefer my Target mossimo "athletic fit" tees

Yup, the Target Mossimo tees fit very similarly to the BR ones -- a good taper from chest to waist. They're harder to find, though, in my experience (many Targets don't carry them).

For guys with a significant drop, tees without a taper will be either too tight in the shoulders and chest or hugely baggy at the waist.

American Apparel for sure, you can get 7 off ebay for like $40 which is a tremendous deal. So many colors and US made.

Yea, BR doesn't have my size in most colors right now and thats who i usually buy. Thought about american apparel (god i hate their models) might give them a try though
