I wear beater jeans with Nice graphic T, Polo or button everyday and really need to upgrade my shoe style. I pretty much wear the same gray New Balance 574s? everyday. I used to wear funky mike dunks but feel im too old for them (Im 22). I just lost some weight and am able to wear tighter fitting jeans with leaner legs. Big shoes are starting to look off, ya know?

What would you recommend for a big guy still losing some weight but trying to look good. I'm currently 200, 6'0.

I've never worn boots with jeans myself. I plan on buying around 3-4 pairs shoes for everyday use. What would you recommend in the $60-$175 budget range per pair?

personally with more relaxed jeans i like the look of NB 574...

If you want a shoe (non sneaker)
maybe look for some allen edmonds on ebay for around ($100-$150)
sneakerwise
I would say a pair of converse
a pair of vans authentics
and maybe a boot(not sure about these) or boat shoe (sperry)

look around in the waywt thread and see if there are any specifics you like.

also, the search button will yield tons of information for you.

a few key words you may want to look up are red wing gentleman traveler, RMW boots. however a lot of the boots discussed here will run you near and over your upper range budget. ebay and the BS forum here are your best friends.

Ive seen these boots around a few times, they are pretty nice for the price, not sure what your style is though, if your moving from new balances you might not want the wingtip, and the stitch detailing? but i think these are a nice style upgrade from your standard timbos or clarks wallabys.

basically just throwing these out there to guage what you might be looking for, ive noticed on this forum people tend to suggest things that are about double what your stated price range is, so this is right there.

With that budget I would go to a DSW if you have one in yer area snd invest in some captoes or wingtips and definately a pair of leather chucks.
