I just got done watching it. It's pretty cool. Even though the moon is eclipsed you can still see the moon. It would be awesome if you have a telescope.

Saturn is the planet kinda down and to the left. Again, if you have a telescope you can see the rings around saturn since it's close and pretty bright.

I took a peek. Was kinda cool. Now I can die sad.

Sort of cool. Wish I was somewhere with less light pollution though.

Aye that's a good thing about Indiana, I guess. If there aren't any clouds, the night sky is amazing.

I saw it for a little while interspersed with clouds.

I'm moving my photos on to my computer as I type... Partly cloudy down here in CR but with less light pollution than you guys up north I think the pics will turn out great.

Look at the lower right corner of that picture Tck13 quoted. It's a little crater and it looks like all these ravines and lines are coming out of it. That's freaking beautiful.

My rig's going to be in a plastic bag until tomorrow (to keep condensation off), and anyway, even with a 600 with the 1.5x factor, the moon only fills < 1/4 frame, nothing like what the telescope-equipped guys can do. I don't expect spectacular, just wanted to try it out. Might add that choosing an eclipse as the first shoot with a new camera is something of a trial!
