no the laces that come with it (and the spare) are tonal self color

My SA gave me a set of every lace color available since they had some extras lying around. The red laces seem to make the shoe seem more burgundy, which is what I want them to look.

If you wear these shoes with a brown outfit the shoes will seem more brown...probably because the leather is a hi-shine variety (but not corrected grain, it's a hi-shine full grain) it takes on its surrounding enviro in its reflective cast making it look like what it's surrounded by.

I see, I had suspected the laces weren't the ones that came with the shoes, you've been notorious with switching laces from the few I've seen you wear.

The shoe is real beautiful though. You were right though, these seems a bit longer than usual. I just hope it would fit my wide feet.

Those are nice but I was expecting it a bit darker, simlar to the Timpano's color but lighter. Maybe it's just their photography. When they had a picture of the brown Ricards, it looks a lot lighter than it does in person so that pic might be a bit misleading.

I might be around the PS Store this weekend here in LA, I got check out their new stuff. Neiman Marcus sells PS too so I might give that a visit as well.

Really? I never really looked into Barneys but when I called them a couple of months ago they said they didn't carry PS shoes and referred me to their NY store.

Yeah, Neiman's only carries 3-4 different styles of PS but I am hoping they got some new stuff in.
The Nordstrom in my area lags in gettin new PS styles too, they just recently received their shipments of black Ricards.

*******, I just bought the Red Rollins online via UK site, these need to be had and I cant count on the LA store stocking it

interestingly, these end up being cheaper direct from UK even with shipping

total USD price was $538 shipped, after my VAT refund

The Cordo colored Rollins was $535 iirc instore, and the Red leather sells for $50 more on the UK site so that would put it at least $580 locally ($627 after tax).....so it was nearly a $90 discount to get it online. something to consider if buying at full retail

now I'm REALLY done with F/W shoe shopping.

Just out of curiosity, how many pairs of shoes do you own? You seem to buy 3-4 pairs a season. I've been doing that for only two years and I now have more shoes than I can wear reliably...

I didn't know you could purchase from their UK site when your in the U.S. I ordered from their UK site back when they didn't have the U.S. but now that they do, I didn't know that they would still let you order through it even with the U.S. site being up. Please, keep us updated on how it goes.

That is why GS never have to worry about resoling shoes, it's his way on solving that problem.

I have about 15 pairs in just PS shoes/boots I think (I have 3 Aldens, 3 Dolce Gabbana, Alfred Sargent, Vass, etc too)....def more than anyone needs. I'm getting to the point of saturation where I'm not going to get anymore starting next spring. This F/W is sort of my last hurrah on that front.

You werent able to a year or two ago, you're right. Ever since they added the US and Japan online store, you can buy from the UK site and they'll ship it anywhere in the world.

Crap, I didn't know you could order from the UK site either.
I've also implemented the "buying more shoes than I'll ever come close to wearing out" solution.

GS, before I try to register and try to order something, how much was shipping?
(Edit to answer my own question: 23 pounds to Seattle area)

23 GBP for the shoes to USA...plus you get the VAT tax discounted, altho it doesnt show up in the checkout, when I looked at my checking account where it was debited, the total was about $30 less than it seemed during checkout (checkout was 283 GBP, actual debit was about 269 GBP)

Having ordered from the US site once before, they ship the same or next day so it gets to you pretty fast. The US site says up to 5 days for delivery in USA and I got it in 2 from e/c to w/c. UK site says 7 days to US so we'll see how long it takes.
