Please do! There haven't been that many actual live shots of the shoe... is the blue as vibrant as it appears in the pics?

Hey guys, I came across a beautiful Paul Smith shoe today when I was walking around London (Covent Garden store). I can't find any pictures of the shoe online so I will try to describe it. It is an Oxford style shoe with a wing tipped cap toe, smooth leather no broguering. It is a beautiful rosewood red and fits like a dream.

The shoe in question is a hand stitched or hand made I forgot which and cost a whopping 325 pounds, 485 us dollars. Do you guys think it is warranted to pay that much for a Paul Smith shoe? I am relatively new to higher end shoes, usually Aldo or other Mall brands.

Does anyone have black Pablos? I am wondering how they look with darker jeans. The uppers seem to have a "beat up" look which I like, but the cap toe on the shoes appear to be pristine.

Thanks for your thoughts.

i have never paid retail for a PS shoe. Look online and in discounters like NM last call. they usually have lots.

I hit up the sales at Barney's and e-luxury and got some packages today.
I guess 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Got the bright pink boat shoe. The pictures on the e-luxury site make it look red but it's very pink.
I'm glad I wasn't expecting red.

Gatsby sneakers.

These were supposed to be Cages in red calf. And in fact that's what it says on the box.
But they're suede Pablos. I've got a call into Barney's and they going to try and hunt down the Cages.

Hi there, I've got a question if you all don't mind...I've been trying to find out where I can buy the Paul Smith "Certain" boot - does this ring a bell with anyone? It is either from 2007 or 2008. Basically a 3/4 boot although I have seen it called a brogue as well. Could anyone enlighten me on where is the most likely place online I could find it? Simple ebay and google searches over several months have yielded no joy. I reckon I am UK Size 9. I would really like to buy a pair.
Many thanks, shman73.

These recently turned up at the nearby Last Call (Bowe Bloomsburys). I was oddly drawn to them. But $250 still seems high for a novelty.

Those are from the "Collection" line which is his most expensive. I saw the same shoes in Paris they are really nice ya. I would pay that much for them if I really wanted them. That's actually a cheaper price than it cost in Euros in Paris (or in dollars)...the Collection line shoes retail for $700+ here stateside, so full retail for 325 GBP (about $500) is like getting them on sale for us.

Definetly not a bad price by any means... although even if you have the money for that one pair, I would hold off if you are not ready for the chaos that will ensue afterwards..

You will never be able to shop at Aldo again.

You will buy more, similarly expensive pairs to go with the other things.

You will wake up one morning, look in your closet and realize you have just bought 13 pairs of shoes in the last six months and have yet to wear five.

Be prepared.

Tan PS boat shoes are $240 at the Saks website.
