So I got one of these for goods sold.
While the Cannuck said just go into a bank, have any USA'ers got one of these?
Do I just fill out a deposit slip and take it to the teller at my bank?

I deposit them all the time (us in cdn banks) no issues. My bank does get a little uppity if I do not attach a post it to high light the fact the currency is foreign. They process so many envelopes dropped into a machine over night, it makes their life a little easier. A week later, I get a hard copy letter confirming what the foreign exchange was and the actually amount the account was credited.

pretty straight forward.

Check with the post office, I had one of those about 2 years ago and they cashed it and paid in cash up to 200

So my bank (Washington Mutual) would not accept it. It is for$350 so I doubt the Post Office will do it. Do I have to resort to using a check cashing place?

Ahh shit, im sorry. I forgot to mention that before paypal when i used to pay for items with money orders, it had to be a US dollar money order cashable in a US bank. There is a difference. Tell the buyer they made a mistake and that they need to send you the correct one, one that is cashable in the states

If it's cashable at a US post office, then you should be able to cash $350. I've done more before, albeit with a USPS money order.

Yeah, I don't see why the post office wouldn't cash it. I have cashed canadian post money orders at the post office, albeit for less. You can get a postal money order for like $800 or so...

A Canadian postal money order should be cashable at just about any bank. However, Canadapost has very recently changed the appearance of it (more security features), so maybe your teller wasn't familiar with the new MO? It should still be green though.

Really? All I've had is a checking account/check card with them for about 2.5 years and this is the first thing I've encountered.
