I saw a pair of Santoni handgrades on ebay a few months ago and the antiqueing really impressed me. Unfortunately the listing is no longer on the system but perhaps some people here know what I'm talking about (size 11, wholecut, no brogueing, antiqued wooden mid-brown). The antiqueing has an effect like that of an old wooden furniture's, which (in my limited knowledge) I haven't seen this in other brands. The Santonis were most probably model 6239 although I'm not completely sure (the colour in the ebay's picture was quite different). http://santonishoesusa.com/collectio...e.asp?param=22 The antiqueing effect is somewhat close to these Branchini shoes. http://branchini.wear.jp/item.asp?item_dat_id=4318 I'm most interested to hear tips to achieve such an effect. Advice from our resident shoe-polishing gurus would be much appreciated.
