Very very bad news - Page 2

I presume, ten month ago when you bought it, the shirt had single needle stitching. (You would have noticed otherwise.) Now the shirt has grown an additional row of stitching. I would watch it, just in case it grows more rows of stitching. Who remembers that horror movie where the guy got devoured in the seams of his shirt?

T & A RTW shirts are double needle sewn. The H & K, Pink's, New & Lingwood, and Harvie Hudson RTW's that I have seen are also double needle tailored. T & A bespokes are single needle tailored. However, it appears that the seam is sewn inside out. In other words, there is double tracked stitching on the outside (ver narrow) and a single row of stitches on the inside. The next time that I visit T & A I'll ask about this.

Every Hilditch & Key shirt that I've ever seen has been made with single-needle stitching. Their single-needle seems aren't particularly narrow, but they are single-needle.

LOL... lovely post... personally I like T&A shirts but stopped buying them as the collars fray prematurely.  The only ready-made shirts with any longevity that I've tried are Brioni (aka Burini) but for the price I'm getting bespoke for only a bit more.

When I bought it I did not know what was single needle stitching and as I have not worn or look at it since I couldn't have notice that.
