I have a pair of Paul May shoes that I got off Yoox. I love them. Quality is solid though not amazing. Fit is maybe just a little on the small/slim side. I'm a 43 Eu typically, and the 43s I bought could maybe stand to be just a little bit wider, but it's not a problem at all. No experience with their boots, though.

I have a pair of paul may wingtips that are one of the most comfortable leather soled shoes that I own. They may not be up to the same standards as say a Bally or Jil Sander shoe, but very well made for the price. I'd go a size up, especially with boots.

so did yours fit a little smaller? i guess with the boots i could just lace them up tighter?

it depends on how wide or narrow your feet are. my experience is that they tend to be cut a little on the narrow side. going up a size may be safer, especially if you're going to wear thicker wool socks.
