Did you make a point to at least "inaugurate" each one?

Of course. In a rather odd moment shortly after we moved in, my father told me that this practice was necessary.

It is the best reason to move.

Could have been worse. Could have been your father-in-law...

"Let me tell you son . . . what my daughter needs is a good ______. Are you up to the job? From what I hear, none of the other boys she brought around were any good, and from the looks of you, I doubt you'll be any better. Well get to it, and if you need anything, just holler. I'll be waiting outside."

At the audio store I buy so much stuff so they forget to charge me for the stereo wire! YAHWEH! I fuckin do! And I get my stereo wire MTM. That's made to measure to all you junior leaders in training out there!

^^I love those Lalanne sheep. I keep thinking that maybe I can justify purchasing one by arguing that it's actually an indulgent gift for my young daughter, not me.... Maybe an Aarnio "Puppy" will have to fill in as a cheap substitute.

I have two in one of my apartments, because I love cinema far too much to go without one. Other than watching films I've bought, I almost never use them. I don't have one in my other apartment. This is probably silly, because it's in France, where they actually have a lot of good talk shows. Something I always loved about one of my relatives was that he refused to have a television in his houses (he was a real intellectual, and had a remarkable book and antique collection), but his wife was one of the most popular newswomen in Milano! Maybe I'll have the same attitude one day, but the DVD technology is very good.

Yes I do but was not my intention. You know how every Christmas they have sale on tv's and electronics so pretty soon every room in my house is going to have one.

Stuff White People Like "#28 Not having a TV"

"The number one reason why white people like not having a TV is so that they can tell you that they don't have a TV."

Never owned a TV....

The most modern thing in the living room is electricity, so I guess I could have one there.

Mostly...

I prefer decorating with authentic Victorian & Edwardian furnishings.

(all of which predate electricity)

I have to hide ugly stuff like this in a period armoire...
