Armani Fit

I came across an armani classico suit on ebay that i was thinking of getting. unfortunately, i have only been able to try on an armani collezioni suit in the same size. i was wondering if i could expect the fit to be similar between the collezioni and classico (blue label i believe) line? if anyone could comment i would appreciate it. Also, am i correct in my belief that the classico is a much better quality/constructed suit than the collezioni? would i be better off just getting a zegna for quality, materials, construction, etc.? thanks.

1. Armani black label fits differently than Collezioni. Black Labels fits more boxy in my opinion. Shoulders are padded much heavier than Collezioni's Natural line. 2. I believe Armani black label suits are canvased. But I cannot say the same for all of their suits. If I was to buy Armani classico, I would rather buy other canvased suits.

milano, thats disappointing as i liked the slim fit of the collezioni suit i tried on - but thanks very much for saving me from disappointment

Armani gets beaten up an awful lot here - sometimes deservedly. ...on the other hand Armani's Classico line is very nice looking from most I have seen. I would suggest writing the seller and inquiring about returns, if he will take a return then give it a whirl. Remember - we are not a reasonable and/or rational group - we are obsessive/compulsive clothing whacko's on the lunatic fringe of menswear and we are ridiculously fussy :-) When discussing different labels with customers my comment on Armani is generally "Dollar for dollar it ain't gonna be made as well as the others in the same price range but it may very well be more attractive". On trousers, Armani tends to favor an inverted box pleat which (IMHO) is one of the most flattering and comfortable constructions. Disclaimer - that whole gorge to the belt buckle "Hey everyone, look at my penis" cut was not one of fashion's brightest moments. Disclaimer - that home study course on charm and subtlety has arrived but I have not yet had time to read it.
