In the weeks since my dad passed away I've put on a little weight (about 10 lbs). It wasn't that I was stressed about my dad's passing, which was actually very peaceful, but when I got out to Utah for the funeral my mom was baking up a storm and so I wound up eating about a million calories' worth of pie and cookies and other delicious goods. When I got home it was actually kind of fun to fall off the diet wagon and indulge myself for a couple of weeks.
So starting tomorrow it's time to get back in gear on eating right and exercising. I tend to drop excess weight pretty quickly so I'm hoping I will see decent results within a week or two. I notice today that my pants are feeling a little tight(!) for the first time, so that's a clear sign that it's time to get back on dat wagon. It has been raining really hard around here for a few days so I'm looking forward to some muddy trail runs.
