I am at my workplace doing tasks of labor even what it be Sunday evening. As I was walking about the workplace near the pop machines, a jannelder says to me "Looks like they raised the price of the sodies." He really said "sodies." I didn't think anyone actually said that.

You and your martinis. I get so bored of drinking or eating the same thing when I go out

Had an amazing, amazing trip to Iceland. We collectively lived some of the best moments of our lives during this excursion and I couldn't have asked for anything more. It's a beautiful country filled with beautiful people. Seriously, I have never seen so many stunning women in my life. And everyone was SO friendly, too! I was a little nervous going into this trip that we would be "those Americans" since a lot of my buddies who went are very outgoing, extroverted (read: loud, esp. in the presence of dat booze) people. But nope, we were all welcomed with open arms.

I'm not even going to attempt to pronounce or list the scenery we visited, but we hit up a lot of waterfalls, beaches (black sand beach I believe is what one was called), and glaciers. Highlight of the trip was probably the snowmobiling ride. Fun as hell but surprisingly exhausting with the steering.

Nightlife was ridiculous. Clubs / bars close at 6 AM on the weekends, so we got our fair share of partying in. I don't want to get into too many details, but a lot of bodily fluids were spilt and released, I shall say (in b4 hoamo joaks). The Stag was faithful to his woman during the entire trip, so major respect to him for that -- not that I doubted him in any way on that front. I loathe people who use Bachelor / Bachelorette parties as an excuse to cheat on their future spouses.

And yes, I don't know why, but drunk, belligerent Icelandics love to throw beer bottles at each other.

P.S. everything is expensive AF. I shudder to think about how much money we dropped. Yikes. Oh, and puffin meat is gross. Ugh. The texture and flavor were wretched. Whale meat was meh.

Sounds like you had a great time.

I also forget ski doo'ing isn't something many folks grow up doing.

Holding on is hard too. Last time I was on a wave runner I remember getting a crazy forearm pump and hardly being able to hold on after an hour or so. Maybe without the constant accel decel from waves it's easier on a snowmobile.

I was a total failoser the first time I tried it. I tipped over on a sidehill and had to get some help to get un-stuck. I was only going like two miles an hour so I didn't get hurt but it was pretty humiliating.

Riding up / down a slope at an angle is a real bitch because you have to lean your body to the opposite side to counteract the pull. I'm not going to lie -- snowmobiling is very taxing on the arms due to the lack of power steering. It was not as easy as I thought it was going to be.

My friend ended up falling off his after hitting a bump laugh.gif

We used to do these things called "poker derbies." Organized ski-doo ride with five stops, got a card at each stop, and had to drink a prescribed portion. Prizes given for fastest finisher and best poker hand. Everyone shit faced by the end.

Sounds like y'all need to hone your skills with skijoring before ski dooing.  :smarmy:
