Having more fun setting up my mancave in the last unfinished Carcosa style room in the basement then actually setting up the proper rooms of the house.
"Bond poster here. No. HERE. ...OK, this Samurai sword would feature nicely against this limestone wall." etc

Watching a kitten chase its tail has to be one of the funniest things ever.

Hardcore. I have to serve muffins and coffee at 1030am to preschool parents and (at least) a few of my kidded-up buddies and wives: third birthday party in the yard. Some kinda reptile man is booked courtesy MrsSR with iguanas and snakes and shit. The finale is SR emerging incognito as my daughter's fav 'Paw Patrol' character.

That's right. A giant pink dog costume. LOL

when we got our kittens a million years ago i put one on the seat of a camping chair and flicked it so the one underneath would start batting it. which set the first one going and they duked it out by proxy for like 20 minutes. so cute.

now i look at em and they're like haggard lazy unhygienic bastards. it's like looking at myself in a furry mirror. i'm gonna go play "Landslide" now.

Speaking of furry I told the wife that if I really 'find myself' in there I'm keeping it. :P

Great morning so far. Perfect weather outside so we had coffee on the patio (overlooking our scrapped out backyard) then I put this on the smoker:

Just had a beast mode workout while they were smoking. Once I get them in the oven with finishing sauce we'll go run our errands, then when we get home, I've got eight bottles for Mrs. Piob to randomly chose from and pour me a glass so I can blind taste it and try to get the varietal and location. Nice choice to pick from including a Sancerre and a Kiwi, a CA Chard and a Chablis, a Torrontes and an Albarino.

Even the workers not in character costume have it rough. Mid-August and 95 degrees out? Here, wear a frock coat with a vest underneath. Yup.

I worked with a fitter from Las Vegas . He told me they kept their hand tools in buckets of water during the day otherwise they couldn't pick them up. Another guy ,a welder from Pennsylvania, said it was so hot in operating steel mills that a fitter had to stand by with a fire extinguisher in case an errant spark caused your clothes to burst into flame
