Tonight I walked 7.2 miles down Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, starting in Echo Park, stopping at L.A.'s finest tiki bar, and eventually arriving at my favorite Jewish deli. After a meal of my favorite sandwich, noodle kugel (not good), Duvel, and an Ojai pinot noir, I met up at a local douche-and-amazingly-good-looking-women scene (Laurel Hardware) for my friend's birthday. After hanging out at that douche-and-amazingly-good-looking-women scene (and at one point chatting amiably with an amazingly good looking Australian woman in the line for the co-ed bathroom), I headed over with some people to the local beer bar, which happened to have Russian River Pliny the Elder and Damnation on tap. Then I took a Lyft home dropping off the birthday girl and chatting with the driver who is sick of L.A. and is moving to Budapest, whereas I love L.A. and would like to stay.

Pretty good evening.

I didn't get into a fight, but rather some witty banter with a friend's Tinder date. I went to my local poorhouse cruisin' for a bruisin' and saw a friend. We got to talking and in walks this woman that he started talking to. I thought she was just a woman coming in for a drink. We ended up having a fun time and after she left he told me it was his Tinder date. That must have been a very odd Tinder date for her. Why would he do that?

http://www.millennial-revolution.com/about-us/

A link to a very annoying husband and wife that are getting press in Canada. Two Millennial computer engineers that saved up a million bucks (complete kudos on that) who have now become convinced home ownership is a cult and that everyone that owns a home is miserable and screwed. They were featured on CBC http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/house-investment-wealth-1.3716641

They're living off their portfolio and traveling the world. Again, kudos on that, but the confirmation bias is very strong with them and the predictable hate they've generated is funny.

I read about his lifestyle and think, doesn't that shit get old, quick?

My dopamine sensors must be faulty because I don't really feel that "good" when I occasionally spend a bit big on a night out on the town (only happens in NYC). The next morning I just get minor twinges of regret over how much I spent.

I derive much more joy from saving, investing, and watching my nest egg grow.

How high-and-mighty of you. Sometimes I feel guilty for not spending enough money the night before and I wipe my ass with some $20's after my morning shit.
