I went to Weird Al. It was great. Too bad Fitz and the Tantrums was at the same time. I was also thinking about seeing Brian Fallon and the Crowes, but I don't want to go to a 4pm show.

2) I know there is a population who would find it useful
3) Should be not too complicated for me to create as my first app (I've always just wanted to have an app).

Might be easiest to build it as essentially a web-app, and then just provide mobile interfaces to it, as I see two different use cases for it...one is people using it directly on their phones. The other is people using it (on phone or computer) to generate output images that might be used for discussion/arguments on internet forums/email.

Now I just have to figure out what sort of toolkits and languages I need to use. Python is my most proficient general language...but it is not ideal for app develoment (although there are some tools that let you build cross-platform apps in python...and my app wouldn't need high performance, so this might work).

You're not going to describe your idea so that someone can steal it? Fine.

I have to give it to you Wisconsin guys... You've got some damned fine frozen custard.

A Wisconsin guy gave you his custard, huh

Is custard slang for gelatinous smegma?

I'm happy to be leaving the area where so many SFers seem to be lately. (stupid summerfest)  Enjoy your warm beer and huge crowds suckers!

Also, it makes me happy and laugh to see the cat avatars still that some changed to.  Mainly brokencycle and harold falcon.  Classics

Is it true that cheese curds squeak when you bite into them?

Usually they have to be at room temp to squeak.  And definitely not deep fried ones.

Is it hard to find decent cheese curds or can I just get some at the local grocery store? I live in CA.

Shouldn't be hard...there are definitely cheesemakers in CA.

Only very fresh curds squeak...but I personally prefer them deep fried and melty smile.gif

I took 4 Lactaids for the custard, and it still wasn't enough. I think cheese curds would have killed me and everyone else in the room.

I grew up in Wisconsin, but I ain't even gonna "front" I hell of don't get cheese curds and more specifically why a person would enjoy eating them. It's basically like homelny grits what I mean is that it's a regional food that tastes awful but nonetheless people persist in consuming it and saying they like it.

Fresh or fried, because if you say fried, we're donzo.
