L'inc do you ever take the stage at graduation ceremonies? I am giddy at the thought of 3000 parents having photos of their special little flower's special day, with a man in pink pants photo bombing it

I always get a letter on official letterhead says I am not allowed near the stage during commencement events.

Updates on my neighborhood:

1. The hipsterization continues. What was once a bodega/Latin food market a block away from me is now becoming a "shuffleboard bar." At least it's not another barbershop or hair salon.

2. I just witnessed a woman with her pants around her ankles half-squatting against a bus stop sign post urinating in broad daylight. She was about a block away from a ritzy Jesuit high school.

Are hipsters known for urinating in public places?  Or are there two trends going on?

Or a bit late to still be up.

I believe these are separate trends. The old and the new.

Just found a book I completely forgot I had.

Was it a book on how to improve your memory?

It was placed in a stack inside a wardrobe, together with a bunch of other books.

The embarrassing part is that its a book written by a friend and I had also forgotten he had written a book. shog[1].gif

A drinking establishment in which one can play the game of shuffleboard, which has long been the butt of jokes as supposedly being only for geriatrics--which game thus affords the possible kinds of late-capitalist pleasures for younger patrons:

a) amusement that one is playing what has been long mocked as an old-person's game
b1) realization that shuffleboard is actually fun, in which an ironic framework houses non-ironic enjoyment, or
b2) realization that shuffleboard really isn't any fun at all, which can lead to:
c1) dogged commitment to playing a not-fun game in the name of irony, or
c2) renunciation of ironic enjoyment (i.e., nobody actually plays the shuffleboard), which will never be a complete renunciation at all insofar as the object of irony is still present as a kind of untransmuted lump (quoting C.S. Lewis completely out of context) in the middle of the bar

I'm not sure if it's the tabletop version of shuffleboard or the cruise ship/retirement community version. I'll have to do some more recon.

If they made a Carrom bar, I would go.
