Actually, let me take the qualification away. No one on Earth has ever talked about my dick so much.

I don't think I have ever known someone to talk about specific dicks as much as GF talks about yours.  HRoi might be him out in generalities though with all the joaks.

My friend, (who has an almost identical job to me, and was paid roughly the same in 2015) told me she wished she had done her taxes earlier because she was getting a nice refund.

So I tried to start mine this weekend. WTF!? It looks like I am gonna owe ~ $250. Haven't checked state yet...usually get a marginal amount back there.

I think I probably have more 1099 interest/dividend income than her (and no taxable stock sales in 2015)...but I think excluding that excess would only get me back close zero. Where is my refund???

I think some of it is precipitated by my state tax rate being reduced mid-year...thus simultaneously increasing my taxable income while decreasing my deductions for taxes paid...but she lives here too, so that shouldn't matter.

Must be something to do with our companies withholding, but it is odd as we are basically identically situated. I'm still hoping that I am missing something. Gonna run it through another tax software to be safe, but I can't find anything obvious.

The entire time I was doing my taxes, H&R Block was yo-yoing on my refund.  At the end it asked me "Was your whole household covered by health insurance for the entire year?"  When I clicked yes, my refund went up significantly.  Also, I missed a spot where I accidentally said I took a HSA disbursement without using it for medical expenses.  That was a non-trivial difference.

When did I ever talk about Piob's dick? confused.gif

I crack joaks about his affinity for le dick. Huge difference.

Again, sounds like wishful thinking on his part. uhoh.gif

Oh yeah, my number looked *real* shitty until I got to that question...

Gonna try running it through turbotax...I think there is still a way to "begin" your calculation with turbotax without paying...and just see if the number is the same (they do this so that you start for free, and then are willing to cough up the cash at the end to avoid re-doing it elsewhere).

The winds were from the right direction tonight that I could smell Miller Brewery when I got home. Probably my favorite smell of all time. cheers.gif

Sometimes you realize what a funny perspective a cat has on the world here's a conversation:

Geneviève: What's that sound I'm hearing it's putting me to scared.
Me: That's called airplane.
Geneviève: What does airplane do?
Me: It flies.
Geneviève: Oh, so it's like a robin?
Me: Yeah sort of like a robin.
Geneviève: Well that's one loud-ass robin someone should tell it to shut up.

Speaking of aerolplanes, we were buzzed by a low flying antique biplane while coming home from work yesterday. Pretty cool machine
