Good stuff. Miss the old pre-Sandy (or was it pre-fire?) shop.

I really miss Berkeley Sweet Shops salt water taffy. I've tried many salt water taffies up and down the coast, and nothing else compares.

I went to a talent show at the kids' school today. Here's how one of the acts introduced themselves:

A: I'm Greezl
B: And I'm Gräzl
A and B [in unison]: And we're the Gräzls!

Why the hell are they the Gräzls if one is Greezl and the other is Gräzl?

Anyway, posting in Happy because the boys did a flawless rendition of Dick Raaijmakers' "Tweeklank." (It's a tape piece, so all they had to do was push play. But no one else knew that hehehe!)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Boy does this sound like a rockin' good time.

Just saw this now. If the other Eric isn't getting his prayer requests in, I have a few ideas to put forward.

Most of them don't involve the SF hibbeldy-jibbeldy thread title.

I think you accidentally quoted the wrong post in your reply, Piob, so I went ahead and fixed it for you.

I was thinking today, who's the last great country and western superstar we've seen here in America? I'm not sure if you guys will agree with me, but I concluded that it was Travis Tritt. That song about giving the person a quarter so that she could use a pay phone and call someone who cared about her point of view is a true classic. The narrator of the song is dismissing the woman's concerns, which is a common enough occurrence in real life, but he does so in a clever way that brings a smile to the face of anyone who listens attentively to the lyrics.

The coworker I regularly complain about had her lunch stolen.  Karma is real.

Isn't it funny how satisfying something like that can be?
