things that are making you happy - Page 3505

For teh Mexican food...just a few days ago we were chilling on a beach in Cabo for the afternoon, big cabana over looking the water with a ceiling fan (important for happiness there) and eating some incredible dishes (beef cheek was the best) whilst sipping the ice cold cervezas. It was no Chipolte but it was not bad.

I had one two-hour appointment scheduled for this afternoon. The client just called to reschedule. Now my Friday afternoon is delightfully free. I may just close up shop and head out early.

I've been thinking of cruising down there some rando long weekend to do some diving. Never been there… thoughts?

This cannot be true.

Not a scuba person but it's supposed to be pretty good. I think same with Rocky Point on the other side of the Sea of Cortez? Looks like you have a range of things to do and some less touristy towns within a 20 minute drive or so.

I've only been to Cabo once and found it pretty blah. (Could well be a function of the particular place we stayed, etc.) Didn't get any diving in.

While it's a slightly longer trip, Cozumel is pretty great for diving. And not that you'd have a ton of time on a weekend trip, but the Yucatan is pretty awesome out of the water as well.

We were only there for the day. Did a little look around Cabo, checked out a little town down the road (San Jose), then spent the afternoon chilling in a cool shady cabana on the beach while noshing and sipping ice cold beer. Was not a bad day.

Yeah, that doesn't sound too terrible.

Diving is so so ,surfing is better. If by cruise you mean drive, Mex 1 from TJ to Cabo is a bit for a long weekend. Ive done it about a half dozen times

Midwesterners can't parallel park. I put on a little show tonight parking in a tight spot between 2 people who were sitting in their cars. Then I came out and couldn't get out of the spot because someone parked in front of me literally 3 feet off the curb hanging over into the next lane.

No one can parallel park. No one.

Complete bullshit. I can put near any car in any spot with the requisite room… 6 inches maybe? One try, two times tops. I've literally pulled people out of their cars to park the damn things for them. If you can't parallel park you're an idiot or a female.
